Community Guidelines

LoopHood is built on trust, kindness, and mutual respect. These guidelines help everyone have a safe and positive experience.

Respect & Inclusion

Treat every neighbor with kindness and respect, regardless of background, beliefs, or lifestyle.
Use inclusive, welcoming language in all communications.
Respect people's time — respond to messages within 24 hours when possible.
Discrimination of any kind — including on the basis of race, gender, religion, disability, or national origin — will not be tolerated.

LoopHood is built on the principle of community exchange — services traded for services, without money required.
The Gift of Thanks (GOT) is voluntary appreciation, never a required price.
Accurately describe what you offer — misrepresentation harms trust and may lead to suspension.
Honor commitments you make. Cancelling on short notice hurts your reputation and the other person.

Meet in public places for first-time exchanges when possible.
Trust your instincts — if something feels wrong, cancel and report.
Never share passwords, financial account details, or sensitive personal information.
Keep all communication within the LoopHood platform until you have established trust.

If an exchange goes wrong, first try to resolve it directly with the other party.
If you can't reach a resolution, open a dispute through the platform within 72 hours.
Our trust team will review both sides and mediate fairly.
Abuse of the dispute system — including false claims — is a violation of these guidelines.

Illegal items, weapons, or controlled substances — see our full Prohibited Items list.
Harassment, hate speech, or threatening behavior toward any member.
Spam, scam listings, or any commercial advertising not aligned with the exchange model.
Exchanges designed to circumvent platform rules or extract payment outside the platform's guidelines.

Violations of these guidelines are taken seriously. Our trust team reviews all reports and applies a graduated enforcement approach:

Warning: Minor first violations receive a formal warning.

Temporary Suspension: Repeat or moderate violations result in a 7–30 day suspension.

Permanent Ban: Severe violations or persistent misconduct result in permanent account removal.

Some violations — including illegal activity, severe harassment, or fraud — may result in immediate permanent removal without prior warning.
